This is a stunning violin – full size and totally handmade. The top is made from fine spruce, very straight lines and very close grained. The very beautiful two piece back is made from the finest highly figured maple, as are the ribs and scroll. It has the look the Guarneri violin but has an extra high arching to the top and back, a very beautiful instrument. All the fittings on this instrument are of Box wood and I have fitted a full set of fine tuners for ease of tuning. The bridge is of an excellent quality and the strings are perlon, similar to dominants and have been recently designed and produced by a China – Germany collaboration. They are so new to the market that they don’t yet have a brand name that I am aware of but I can tell you that they are very good and produce a full, rich and warm tone as you can hear in the sound clip – have a listen to what this violin can do. It comes with a very nice oblong case and a good bow which are free of charge making this outfit an outstanding value for money purchase.
